In this study, the system of Li2O-WO3-B2O3, Li2O-Bi2O3-WO3-B2O3andAg2O-Bi2O3-WO3-B2O3glasses were prepared by melt-quenching method and six seriesglasses were tested. The relationship between properties and composition of glasses werestudied SeriesⅠ:0.2Li2O-xWO3-(0.8-x)B2O3;Series Ⅱ:(0.3-x)Li2O-xWO3-0.7B2O3;Series Ⅲ:xLi2O-0.06WO3-(0.94-x)B2O3;Series Ⅳ:0.15Li2O-xWO3-(0.85-x) Bi6B4O15;Series Ⅴ:xLi2O-0.01WO3-(0.99-x)Bi6B4O15;Series Ⅵ:xAg2O-0.01WO3-(0.99-x)Bi6B4O15.The glass formations of Li2O-WO3-B2O3system were studied. Characteristic temperature ofglasses were determined by DTA, the structure of glasses were determined by FT-IR, themicro-hardness and density of glasses were investigated, the volume resistance of glasseswere tested and the electrical conductivity were calculated.The result of these study were analysed.In seriesⅠand seriesⅡ glasses, density and hardness increases with an increase in WO3;in seriesⅢ glasses, density and hardness increases with increasing in Li2O. The relationshipbetween electrical conductivity and temperature were investigated. The conductivity of glassincreases with increasing temperature,an approximate linear relationship between lgσ and1000/T is indicated in certain range of temperature.Glasses in the system Li2O-Bi2O3-WO3-B2O3, Bi:B=3:2, When the content of Li2O wasfixed, With the content of WO3increasing, density of the seriesⅣ glasses increased andhardness of the glass minished; When the content of WO3was fixed, With the content of Li2Oincreasing, density and hardness of the seriesⅤ glass increased firstly and then minished.When the content of Li2O was13mol%, density and hardness of the glass obtained max, andB element was abnormal, the maximum of density was6.6g/cm3and hardness was401.6HV.Electrical conductivity increases with increasing temperature, an approximate linearrelationship between lgσ and1000/T is indicated in certain range of temperature.Glasses in the system Ag2O-Bi2O3-WO3-B2O3, Bi:B=3:2, the TK-100、density and hardnessof the seriesⅥ glass all decreases with an increase in Ag2O. Electrical conductivity increases with increasing temperature, an approximate linear relationship between lgσ and1000/T isindicated in certain range of temperature.The activation energy of seriesⅠ glasses is the lowest and electrical conductivity is thehighest in the glasses system which were studied by us. The minimum of activation energy is54.24kJ·mol-1.
