Based on the conformation and coordination modes of ligand to build coordination polymers with specific structures and functions, which is a challenging task for workers in coordination chemistry. Meanwhile, the co-ligangs complexes with carboxylic acid triazole/tetrazole can be used as energetic materials owing to its good stability, rich-nitrogen and oxygen. Oxygen atoms of polydentate aromatic carboxylic and nitrogen atoms in the heterocyclic are available with coordination sites and a variety of coordination modes. It is an important raw material for preparing energetic materials.Based4-4’dicarboxydiphenyl anisole (H2oba) main ligands and triazole/tetrazole ancillary, eighteen kinds of energetic complexes are prepared in transition metal (Co, Cu, Cd) synergy using solution method and hydrothermal method. Its are characterized by chemical analyses, elemental analyses, IR spectra, X-ray diffraction and TG techniques to research their composition, structure and thermal stability. The results indicate that H2oba ligands exhibit three modes in complexes:tridentate, bis (bridging bidentate), bis(chelating bidentate). There are better thermal stability of the complexes, the complexes [Co(oba)(3,4’-Hbpt)]-H2O(1),[Coi2(oba)8(atz)4(H2O)12](5), Cu7(μ3-OH-)4(μ-OH2)2(oba)4(trz)2(8) and [Cd2(oba)(3,3’-Hbpt)2]-2H2O(13) are still stable before300℃. Another four complexes are still stable before200℃.The effects on the thermal decomposition behavior of complexes for AP of the main component of propellant are investigated by DSC technique. The results indicate that all the binary mixture system composed of eighteen kinds of energetic complexes and AP shows ahead of decomposed peak temperature, increase of heat and decrease of active energy during thermal decomposition. It is confirm the truth of that the complexes can be used as energetic combustion catalyst in propellants. The increasing of nitrogen content and oxygen content in complexes have a significant influence on the thermal decomposition of mixture system, which approves that the idea adding carboxylic acid to the M/triazole/tetrazole system is reasonable for the combustion catalysis in solid propellant.
