Chinese traditional auspicious patterns occupies an important place in traditionalnational costumes, used a very wide range of clothing, sporting and moral practices. On theone hand, Chinese traditional lucky patterns are inheritance of traditional culture used inhigh-fashion custom-designed, on the other hand, the Chinese traditional auspicious patternscombine with haute couture has a positive meaning.Along with China’s economic developing, China’s consumption is also very rapidly for luxurybrands. Currently as the world’s largest luxury market, the business of haute couture alsodeveloping very fast in China. Also a lot of Chinese Clothing brands began working in the luxuryarea. From the early NE-Tiger luxury fur release to the2009Guo Pei luxury "1002nights" showand2013Laurence·Xu was invited to participate in Haute Couture Fashion Week show in Paris.Since then China has a real luxury haute couture brand authorized by the France Haute CoutureUnion, Chinese Haute Couture industry finally on track.My essay combines the patterns of Haute Couture to the Chinese traditional lucky patternsand discovers the extending area of traditional auspicious patterns used in Haute Couturedesign. Through the historical materials and documents, I try to looking for the mode ofcombination between Haute Couture design and Chinese traditional lucky patterns. Also Iparticipated the design for Paris Haute Couture fashion week with bran Laurence Xu, studiedand practice the application of Chinese traditional lucky patterns in a Haute Couture design.While I participated the patterns design of2013Laurence·Xu Paris Haute Couture FashionWeek, discussed China traditional auspicious pattern in application and extends, andsummarized the refined of design method, and validated the idea through design practice. Thispractice is important to discovery the innovation of traditional auspicious pattern in clothingdesign aspects.
