A Study On The Use Of Patterns In Children’s Wear Design

Children’ wear occupies an important position in the clothing industry, especially inthe aspect of profits, compared with the adults’ wear. Many foreign companies have an eyeon this huge clothing market in China and have moved into the Chinese children’s wearmarket. As a result, foreign brands with regard to children’s clothing account for a largemarket share, especially in first-tier cities, they are overwhelmed by almost foreign brandsin the world. In the competition of foreign brands, the Chinese children’ wear industry isconfronted with such a question as to quit or march forward. Patterns of garment play animportant role in the children’s clothing design, which determines the taste and price ofchildren’s wear and represents children’s wear brand. Through an exploration of children’wear patterns, the author intends to make a study of the its methods of design andapplication, which can help to accelerate the development of children’s creative design andfurther enhance the domestic designing level with regard to children’s wear.From the perspectives of domestic and foreign development, design status, theapplication of the patterns design in terms of children’s wear, this paper makes an in-depthanalysis of the problems existing in pattern design of children’s wear, puts forwardsolutions and predicts its future development from the aspects of classification andspecific patterns in children’s wear, use tactics of patterns in children’s wear, applicationtrend in children’s wear design and the relationship of children’s wear patterns and brandspopularity. Creative designing in children’s wear pattern is focused in the paper, which isdifferent from the general sense of the pattern design. The author illustrates its importantposition in the children’s clothing design from a new perspective, which is advanced andpractical.Instead of following and imitating foreign trend blindly, the pattern design ofchildren’s wear should attach more attention to the cultural connotation, comply with theprinciple of domestic children’s clothing design and analyze children’s physiologicalcharacteristics, highlighting the perfect combination of outstanding pattern and children’sclothing, the combination of children’s clothing and culture, especially with cartoonindustry. The paper makes the brain building design the creative points, with an emphasison fashion and technology in children’s wear patterns design. Suggestions on safety andhealth in terms of patterns design of children’s wear are made in the paper, which providesideas for children’s clothing designer and helps to realize its market value and promote the healthy development of domestic children’s clothing industry.
