Water is the fundamental element for human to live in this world. The rapid development of economy, science and technology has brought many unprecedented serious environmental problems, and people find it necessary to pay attention to the quality of drinking water and air, for it is closely related to the daily life of us, so relevant equipments are required to do the real time monitoring and data publishment.The serious environmental problems are putting forward higher requirements on environmental monitoring instruments. High efficiency, energy-saving, environment-friendly and durable is the tendency of the current environmental monitor.What this paper discusses is based on the current technology, the performance and application of common equipment on the market. Considering the characteristics of climate, geology and other aspects of the monitoring aero, an online monitoring instrument of water quality for local actual condition is developed, and it will be combined with the water level monitoring system, which is originally developed by our research group. This entire make a multi-index monitoring system-can be used to the real-timely monitor the level, quality (temperature, pH, conductivity, etc.) of the non-resource water.Modular design, including the base unit and information receiving and analyzing unit, was introduced to this system. The stationary unit uses water absorbing module, water distributing module, water quality monitoring and analyzing module, controlling module and auxiliary module. Realize the self-diagnosis in the case of unattended maintenance. With the support of software, monitoring center of information receiving and analyzing unit sends each remote monitoring station control instructions through data collection server. Monitoring terminal equipment realizes the data acquisition and processing through the communication network and the data collection server, then deposit the data in the central database, including data storage, data analysis and other functions.In addition, this article also discussed the environmental issues caused by these real impacts of design, manufacture, operating and abandoning of the instruments, and corresponding suggestions are also put forward.
