The carbon fiber products are demanded more and more in market urgently, the carbon fiber industry competition is increasingly fierce. As a domestic carbon fiber industry leading enterprise, petrochemical carbon fiber factory is facing the pressure at present increasingly. In carbon fiber production, equipment maintenance is essential; the carbon fiber equipments are made by gear transmission. Therefore, in the daily production we are facing with all kinds of gear failure, how to analysis and to prevent gear failure has become a very important topic.This article aims to study the analysis of gear failure to provide theoretical basis for the maintenance and repair carbon fiber equipment, for the study of problems of gear failure, this article reviewed the current situation and development trend of the domestic and foreign research related problems of gear failure. Combined with the specific equipment of this unit, the failure of the gear were analyzed to establish the finite element model, through analysis of the causes of gear failure by using fuzzy theory, and introduce the effect of tooth surface micro geometry of gear failure, by using the series system model for the analysis of gear failure, the network expert system applied to the gear failure analysis, finally, the method of establishing fault tree analysis of gear failure.Through the analysis of gear failure, so we get the method to deal with more failures for carbon fiber industry equipment provide a theoretical basis to improve the management level of carbon fiber industry equipment with more reference information, but also on the carbon fiber industry equipment maintenance and repair. Using the method of gear failure, we can quickly judge the reason of gear failure, and get the corresponding countermeasures, prevent effectively the gear failure, increase the service life of the gear device.This can greatly save the costs of equipment maintenance and repair.At the same time, the running cycle of carbon fiber equipment can be raised greatly, so as to improve the production efficiency of carbon fiber, decrease the cost of carbon fiber production.Because the carbon fiber industry in China is still at the starting stage, equipment maintenance and repair are very important, this study can provide certain reference significance for us to work on the carbon fiber equipment industry.
