Chinese porcelain tea set, a historic thing containing extensive and profoundtraditional culture, has a widespread reputation all over the world. Chinese porcelain teaset is always considered as a symbol of Chinese ethnic civilization. With the constantevolvement and renovation throughout the long history, it not only glorified the art ofporcelain but also revealed that the value of humanism would never fade away. Emperorof Qing Dynasty had a preference to savor distinct categories of tea and was particularabout the quality of oblation tea served by his people as well as the tea set, which is apivotal part in the progress of savoring tea. The ancient Chinese Court customizedconsiderable covered bowls in Jingdezhen Royal Kilns. They were shaped similarly butthe themes and forms of the embellishment varied. There is one thing for sure that theseembellishments were influenced by the culture of tea and the etiquette system of theCourt. This passage will elaborate this influence from two aspects: the culture of emperorsavoring tea and tea banquets held in the Court, and subsequently indicate theinspirations it brought for the ideas to design contemporary pottery tea set via researchand further study.
