Threads are widely used in equipment and automobile manufacturing industry because of their repeatable characteristics. Impacted electric wrenches are important tackles for installing and disassembling threads. Compared with manual operation, they have stronger tightening force and are more reliable. Except that, they help to save manpower, increase productivity, improve the quality of products, and realize mechanization and automation of machining operations. The paper researched the driver technology of impacted electric wrench, especially for the inverter circuit and switching power supply of the driver.Firstly, in the beginning of the paper is the study of asynchronous motor model and startup characteristic; Then the paper analyses the operating principle of the motor, include the static and dynamic model. The paper acquires the startup torque characteristics of the electric wrench, through simulating the motor model based on SVPWM in the environment of MALAB/SIMULINK.Secondly, the paper introduced the principle of the component modules, especially for the inverter circuit, the IGBT driver circuit and the switching power supply. In inverter circuit, IGBT parallel mode helps to increase the current carrying capacity under the premise of saving cost and debugging the system conveniently. IGBT drive circuit plays an important role in inverter and short circuit protection. The switching power supply provide stable DC power; For single-ended and multi-output switching power supply, the high-frequency transformer has great significance in the power’s starting normally and working stably.At last, the paper introduced the testing process of the driver from which we got the starting base of the driver at different load condition. And then the paper compared the testing data with the simulation ones. Finally, the paper put forward some suggestions in order to promote the system performance.
