With the CNC machine has been employed more and more extensively,The machiningprecision of CNC machine tools is the critical problem of machining work. The currentresearch status of machine error and meaning of error research is introduced in this paper, which is about the problem of geometric error in machining process. Basic concept, including description method of low-order body arrays of topological structure、characteristic matrix of coordinate transformation, movement model and kinds ofconstraint forms is introduced in the part of error analysis theory of multi-body systemkinematics.Nowadays, numerical control machine tool is widely used in many areas, and themachining accuracy is the core problem for NC machine tool in cutting work process, andits accuracy can be improved by reducing machining error. Geometric error is the mostnegative factor that affects NC machine tool accuracy. With the development of numericalcontrol technology and more precision requirement, Geometric error is becoming the mostnegative factor for improving machine accuracy, which need be solved immediately.Multi-body system theory has a new charm with the full use of computer development, when used in kinematics and dynamic of multi-body system, it shows the advantage ofversatility, systematicness and convenience. The theory of multi-body system kinematics isapplied in precision research of inaccurate motion, which is the new development of itsapplication fields. Though that is being concerned only in recent years, its important rolecan not be ignored easily. In this paper, multi-body system kinematics, modelestablishment of machine accuracy according to that theory, and method used foridentification error are all lucubrated.
