With the coal prices rising, the thermal power plants have to cost more and more on generating electricity. Bituminous coal, the primary coal used in most power plants is more and more expensive. Development of key equipment and high efficient combustion technology is a good way in making use of the cheaper coal such as lean coal and lignite coal.The tiny-oil ignition, which can get the pulverized-coal steadily fire and burn while reducing95%of the traditional fuel oil-consumption, now is widely used in coal-fired power plant. Combustion in oxygen-enriched technology with high oxygen consistency can significantly improve the burning rate and improve the combustion characteristics of strength and flame temperature, and ultimately reduce the loss of incomplete combustion and improved combustion efficiency. Oxygen-enriched tiny-oil ignition is a new combustion technology that has the excellence bosh in oxygen-enriched combustion and tiny-oil ignition combustion. Oxygen-enriched tiny-oil ignition burner has a wide application prospect in using the bad coal. We can take advantage of the oxygen-enriched tiny-oil ignition technology to use the lean and lignite coal effectively. Not only the power plant can save oil, but also can use the bad coal to achieve economic efficiency.Numerical simulation method is employed in this thesis to investigate the combustion efficiency of two oxygen-enriched tiny-oil ignition burners. One is adding oxygen directly into primary air, and the other is adding oxygen by extra adding-oxygen tube. The bituminous coal, the lignite, and the meager coal, are simulated in these burners. By comparing the two different combustion characteristics, the simulation results show that, for bituminous coal, the high temperature zone congregates in the first directly added oxygen burner, while, for the meager coal, it is difficult to burn in the first directly added oxygen burner. As to the lignite, because of its characteristics of high volatility and low heating value, the first directly added oxygen burner provide oxygen timely for its high volatile, combustion effect have gotten better.Then the oxygen-enriched tiny-oil ignition burner is regarded as the primary burner and the ignition burner to investigate the influence on the coal combustion in the boiler. The boiler cold start, when the oxygen-enriched tiny-oil ignition burner as the ignition burner, the furnace temperature is relatively higher than oil ignition, the almost high level of speed and higher temperature level of the nozzle cross section.In the boiler startup process and the oxygen-enriched tiny-oil ignition burner as the primary burner, the numerical simulation results show that the bituminous coal, the lignite, and the meager coal have the same conclusion, which coal combustion is better than invest oil for combustion.
