With the development of automobile industry, the market demand for the specialvehicle increase with year, this has a new highlight in auto market. One of the specialvehicles is rapid development of bulletproof vehicle. The bulletproof performance wasimproved as well as the quality of vehicle. The bulletproof performance was guaranteed,meanwhile, be try to reduce the quality should be the focus of people’s concern. So,bulletproof vehicle to light weight very important. Improve the bulletproof structure as theobject of study and utilize ANSYS/LS-DYNA to analysis bulletproof performance byfinite element. This paper is mainly as follows:Firstly, material response characteristic of bullet impact target plate and high-speedimpact of target projectile contact was analyzed. The finite element calculation wasestablished and to analyze that bulletproof performance. Compared with experimentalresearch, it is found that equation of state and constitutive model are correct. It providetheoretical basis for improving bulletproof structure of simulation.Secondly, the finite element analysis of as fix B900FD-1armor as unguarded cardoor by bulletproof performance. To verify the armor plate can resist type79assault rifleattack and obtained the ballistic limit.Finally, improving the structure of bulletproof material,3-d weaving is made fromUHMWPE. Analyzing the3-d weaving’s bulletproof performance with finite element. Tostudy bullet speed and acceleration of the change rule of penetration and analyticaldamage mechanism failure process for the bulletproof door and obtained the ballisticlimit. To judge two bulletproofing materials of bulletproof performance which well.Simulation results shows that the improved bulletproof structure has good bulletproofperformance.3-d weaving with thinner bulletproof steel plate can be made into compositearmor reducing vehicle weight, improve the entire bulletproof vehicle performance.
