China is a multi earthquake country, every earthquake caused a lot of human and economiclosses, especially for towns and remote areas, housing is old, and there has no necessary seismicmeasures, the number of collapse caused by earthquakes in villages and towns is much biggerthan the number in cities. Towns and villages wooden framed house are generally built in theeighties and nineties, and is one of the architectural forms of the towns and villages. And thebuilding’s seismic constructioncannot meet the requirement of seismic fortification. Experienceda long time and there is no timely repairs, cannot meet the requirements of the seismic, housingeasily collapsed in once strong earthquake process. Therefore, it is of great practical importanceto reinforce this kind of houses. In this paper, the author though a large number of investigates, summarizes a variety ofdestruction fail modes of wood frame houses in the earthquake, analysis the reason for the modes.According to housing Seismic principle, from four aspects summed up the towns wooden framedhouse seismic reinforcement method. In our country, wooden framed house usually composed by a wooden frame and theenclosure wall. Two materials have two different dynamic characteristics. As the mainload-bearing elements of housing, it is essential to work out the wooden structure housing wallseismic performance. In this paper, the author used the finite element method simulation analysisthe wall of the wooden framed houses. The results show that, the size of the wall, whether thehole as well as the size of the hole in the wall has great influence to the lateral stiffnessReference foreign scholars on the study of the finite element analysis model of thelightweight wooden frame houses, established the China’s town wooden structure housing finiteelement model, and use modal analysis and nonlinear time-history analysis of the model, compare with the calculated results and the test results by shaking table test. Provide certainreference value to the similar projects. In the end, author use two ways to evaluate the effect of the reinforcement, time-historymodel and random vibration theory. Quantify the reinforcement effect, provides some basis forfuture reinforcement of the towns wooden framed house. Finally, proposed reference views forthe future research of the town wooden framed house reinforced...
