The capture and docking technology of space co-operative target, particularly inthe aerospace industry, is a key technology of the space on-orbit service mission, towhich the maintenance, supply, recovery and dumping of spacecraft is closely related.The purpose of this research is for the spacecraft on-orbit maintenance requirements,develops of a set of capture and docking device prototype, and its key technologies inthe design process.Firstly, the paper analyzes the global development status of the capture anddocking device, compares the existing design, and aiming at present and future on-orbitservice mission, conducts a needs analysis for capture the docking mechanism of spacecooperation objectives, proposes functional requirements and performance indicators ofthe system.Subsequently, after the overall design of the system and the functions andperformance of the system decomposition, splits the system into subsystem module,such as capture mechanism, positioning components, guided transmission parts andelectrical fluid transfer connector design, which capture institution is based on theprinciple of space connecting rod-flexible cable docking with interface a cone-guidedsales as a positioning element, the design can achieve a large tolerance, relativecompliance, high stiffness, high reliability and precise positioning with6-DOF captureand docking action, and establish electrical and fluid transport connection between theservice spacecraft and the target spacecraft.By geometric analysis, dynamic analysis and static analysis into the device designvariables, the mapping of system performance parameters can be simplified into asimple mathematical model. Choose system tolerance ability as optimization objectivefunction and linear weighted with the interior point penalty function optimizationmethod, the system has been optimized to get excellent performance parameters.Finally, set up the prototype of the capture and docking device and groundsimulation experiment platform, conducts a series of experiment on the platformincluding functional verification test, capture tolerance test, capture and release forcetests, to prove that this design of capture and docking device possesses reasonablestructure, comprehensive function, reliable sensors and electrical control system, Theprototype achieves the desired design features.
