Modal transformation ultrasonic motor(MTUM) which uses single-phase incentive makes it better than compound ultrasonic motor. MTUM structure is simplified, miniaturized in addition to excellent manufacturing economy. This motor has a broad application prospects in the field of micro-robots,optical instruments,precision locator aerospace.This paper designs a new type of double bending vibration modal transformation piezoelectric motor,which laid the foundation for further research and development of the modal transformation piezoelectric motor.the main tasks are summarized below:First, make a detailed introduction of ultrasonic motor principle,classification and characteristics,application.review MTUM and point out the urgent problem faced by this type ultrasonic motor.Secondly,propose an oscillator structure of the motor as well as incentives,using the knowledge of the mechanical vibration,piezoelectric school and elastodynamics to make analysis of the movement mechanism of the motor oscillator,conclude movement trajectories of contact friction position of oscillator driven gear is an ellipse.Third,design structural parameters of the proposed motor oscillator.while the consistency design of the modal frequencies,we should also take into account to avoid the occurrence of modal aliasing.this is the first idea of using orthogonal optimization design to solve the problem of the above two and draw a conclusion that the influence trend to vibration mode and frequency of the motor of the size parameters of the oscillator various parts,which provides a basis for performance prediction of the motor.Fourth, design a new type of motor pre-clamping device,this device adopts axial load method,which has advantages that simple structi on, preload loading convenience,low wear,high energy conversion rate,etc.finally,produce a prototype of the piezoelectric motor successfully.Fifth,do a performance test on the prototype,experimental results show that the motor has some distinguishing feature that quick start,high stall torque,forward, reverse operation well and movement flexibility to achieve the desired design purpose,at the same time, we analyze the reason for the differences of the experimental data and design parameters.
