The reinforced concrete structures would produce the crack in different degreeunder the earthquake, explosion and other load condition. The creation and thedevelopment of cracks are the threat to the safety of the structure. At present, due tothe volume of the concrete structure is more and more big, the crack monitoringbecomes increasingly difficult, therefore, study on new concrete crack monitoringmethod is vital significance. The research on fuel cell is at the leading edge of theenergy area. One kind of the fuel cell, proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC)has high power density and high energy conversion, it can quick start under the lowtemperature without any pollution. At present it is the research hot spot of thetechnology developed countries. The PEMFC has various characteristics whichcould be used to remould as a senior. Especially the senior can be used in theconcrete crack detection.Based on the development of proton exchange membrane fuel cell, the newtype crack senor and monitoring system were developed, a new method of theconcrete cracking detection and location determine was built, The main researchworking contents:Firstly, choose the directly formic acid as the sample to improve the new stylesensor. Prepare the membrane electrode with good oxygen sensitivity andappropriate hydrophobicity. According to the mechanical characteristics of concretecomponent and experimental device available condition, the appearance of the newtype of sensor was designed, the size of the sensor was determined, each componentof senor was prepared and the processing technic was improved. Then, combine themembrane electrode and parts to be an assembly as a sensor with concrete crackmonitoring function.Secondly, using multimeters and data acquisition cards detect the performanceof voltage (current) signal produced by crack sensor; Considering the influencefactors of the experimental stage, wax seal method and the method of waterexperiment were developed, the oxygen sensitivity of new style crack sensor wastested; To realized the function of the new-style sensor, prefabricate enterclosemethod, and artificial crack were designed. Finally, the single chip which use the STM32103F as the micro control wasmade., the code of upper computer was compiled, based on the new style sensor, thenew style Distributed sensing system were built. The accuracy and reliability of theconcrete crack monitoring system were determined through the test.
