The structure of cylinder group is very common arrangement in engineeringpractice now, but there is a little studying results in connection withvortex-induced vibrations of cylinder group in the high Reynolds numberconditions. So the studying of vortex-induced vibrations of cylinder group isvery meaningful for theoretical study and engineering practice. We study thevortex-induced vibrations of four fixed circular cylinders inline squarearrangements in the high Reynolds number conditions in the thesis. Using thecomputational fluid dynamics (CFD) and fluent software to conduct thenumerical simulation; analyze the experimental data to contrast the result ofnumerical simulation and the result of wind tunnel test. So we can proof thecorrectness and feasibility of the numerical simulation method. The main contents are included as follows:Firstly, use fluent software to establish the model of the numericalsimulation and SST turbulence models to conduct the numerical simulation offour fixed circular cylinders inline square arrangements in diff erent spacing anddifferent wind speeds, and analyze the wind press, the vibration response, thespiral structure of the flow field and so on.Secondly, I have got the wind tunnel test data included the acceleration, wind pressure and hotline speed data. Deal with them and make icon curves tocomparative analysis and explain the experimental phenomena. Contrast andanalyze the result of numerical simulation in the high Reynolds number and theresult of wind tunnel test. The contrast contents include the mea n ofdisplacement, the amplitude of the displacement and the centroid trajectory ofthe cylinder vibrations. We get the relevant conclusions to proof the correctnessand feasibility of the numerical simulation method.
