Since the reform and opening up, while the rapid development of China’s roadtransport, but also exposed a serious shortage of life. Due to the complexity of theroad structure of internal and external environment, the pavement structure due toearly damage, lack of life many reasons, the existing pavement structure designsystem can not be a true reflection of the road structure by vehicles loading situationthe more important reasons.According to investigation and analysis of the highway damage condition, itcan be found that the damage of dynamic loading is very serious and the study onpavement response to dynamic load has significant meaning. Dynamic responseanalysis of asphalt pavement structure is a complicated problem. Generally, thestudy on this problem is conducted from two respects: field test and theoreticalresearch.To gain the mechanical response of the real pavement under vehicle loads,based on the experience in pavement design of our country, this paper designs fourdifferent structures supported by G112project of Tianjin, embeds the strain sensorsinto surface layer and basic layer, realizes the field test and analysis on strainsensors of semi-rigid base of asphalt pavement under various vehicle load, andprovides important basis for the design of the asphalt pavement.Grasp the real mechanical response of the law in the actual vehicle load ofasphalt pavement before the pavement structural behavior study. Layered elasticsystem for solving complex mathematical and mechanical knowledge needed torestrict the model widely used in practical engineering. But with the rapiddevelopment of computer technology and finite element techniques, finite elementanalysis software for a variety of practical engineering have emerged and continueto improve for the theory of layered elastic system is simple and fast application tocreate favorable conditions. So according to the supposition of elastic layeredsystem and characteristic of asphalt pavement with semi-rigidity base course, finiteelement software ABAQUS will be employed to develop3-D model. This paperinvestigates dynamic response of asphalt pavement structure under dynamic loading, analyz the displacement, stress, strain distribution and characteristic of pavementunder dynamic loading. Through comparing the dynamic response under movingload and braking force, the destruction mechanism of asphalt pavement will besummarized.The research of this paper will attempt to find the law of the stress and strain oflayered pavement structure under dynamic loading, calculate some useful numericalresults by numerical calculation. This paper will be a great reference to thepavement structure design, consruction and maintain. It will lay a preliminaryfoundation for the further research of the dynamic characteristic on asphaltpavement with semi-rigid base course.
