The truck overloading on highways is becoming more and more serious, and the axial load level and heavy trucks proportion are increasing. The new highways are damaged quickly after they were put into operation with a large number of overloaded vehicles. Then large-scale maintenance repair or reconstruction have to be carried out. The main reasons for this are that the analysis of the influence of heavy load traffic on traditional asphalt pavement structure is not fully considered. And the study of mechanical properties of the asphalt pavement under heavy traffic is not perfect. In this paper, systematic research is carried on the influence of heavy load traffic of Luanhai Highway, key project of Hebei Province, and based on theoretical analysis, simulation and engineering practice. On the basis of survey results about the traffic and axle load, old roads of Luanhai Highway diseases are researched and causes of these diseases are analyzed. The model of Graded gravel flexible asphalt pavement structural finite element under Moving Load is established by ABAQUS6.10-1, and the transient response pattern of graded macadam flexible base asphalt pavement under Moving Load is analyzed. The model of Subgrade widening is established, and the variation of the Uneven Settlement between the new and old roadbed after soft subgrade widening is explained. In addition, the Stress and strain of the road construction under Moving Load is studied to provide a reference for reconstruction. Finally, by comparing the different of subgrade structure under the heavy moving loads,to propose some optimization suggestions for the structural design of subgradewidening.
