With the UAVs’ widely using in military and civil field, The research on UAVshave been booming all over the world, especially its’ unique role in modern war basedon the information and new technology. The related focus-variable imaging system ofoptoelectronic pod has been treated as the eye of UAV, and it is significant in the taskof aerial reconnaissance and surveillance. The research work of this paper is aboutAuto-focusing imaging system based on the MUAV of optoelectronic pod made inour country.In this paper, the main contents include:(1)The overall plan of Auto-focusing imaging system has been designed basedon the understanding of the research work of other experts coupled with thetechnology indicators and background of this paper. zoom lens and CCD imagingmodule has been selected according to technology indicators, meanwhile the hardwareplatform of Auto-focusing has been confirmed.(2)The principle of stepping motor drive has been researched according to thefeature of this zoom lens, at the same time step motor driven circuit for Auto-focusingimaging system has been designed. Based on the drive circuit, it generate softwaredesign for the stepping motor of zoom lens. According to the position accuracy ofstepper motor and the feature of focus policies, Hill-climbing searching strategy hasbeen optimized through calibrated by off-line methods in order to improves theanti-interference performance of algorithm and accelerate the speed of focusing.(3)Based on researching Autofocus technique, two kind of appraisal function hasbeen selected for this system among common focusing appraisal function. Then newappraisal function has been designed based on combining virtues, and it has beenoptimize in solving domain. Meanwhile, experiment has been designed to verify thevalidity of the new appraisal function. Finally, we design experiment to measure thefocal length of Lens.In this paper, the main work include:On the basis of relevant knowledge of zoom、focus and the feature of selectingzoom lens and optoelectronic pod, step motor driven circuit for Auto-focusing imaging has been designed. Rough focusing has been achieved through calibrating byoff-line methods on zoom controller, Meanwhile, Hill-climbing searching strategy hasbeen optimized through this method. According to Resource-Constrained of DSPImage Processing and complexity of applied background, the new appraisal functionhas been structured. Finally, through adopting zooming by off-line methods, thesystem of focal length has been measured.
