With economic development, speeding up the process of urbanization, urbantensions and utilization of urban underground space is increasingly. For foundation pitengineering in the urban areas, due to its surrounding construction-intensive, denseroad pipeline, as a strict control of construction deformation of the retaining structureof foundation pit. If the buildings damage, which causes by excavation, it would notonly cause significant economic loss, but also cause serious social impact. Therefore,In order to ensure the smooth progress of the excavation in the city center, it is need tostudy on the issue of the impact on surrounding environment. The article mainly usethe3-D finite element method for establishing foundation-masonry model to analysisthe impact, establishment of linear-elastic and elasto-plastit to analysis andcomparison of two kinds of models. By changing the mode deformation of retainingstructure and the depths of excavation to studies the response of buildings. The mainconclusion has the following:(1) When retaining structure comes to composite, convex and kick-indeformation in the same maximum side moves, building’s angle, pulled strain anddeflection increase with the depth of excavation increased. In the same depth ofexcavation and the same side moves, the wall strain is the largest in convex andsmallest in composite, it shows that convex is the most harmful, kick-in followed by,composite is the least harmful.(2) The settlement and obliquity of the building analyzed using elastic model areconsistent with it analyzed in elasto-plastic model, while the strain of the buildingusing elasto-plastic model is larger than that using the linear elastic model. The strainof the wall is mainly distributed immediately above the window and door holes andalong sides of the parts contacting with the foundation. These locations are the mostadverse part of the building.(3) Comparison of three kinds of deformation to discoveries that in the same sidemoves, for composite, convex and kick-in, building’s strain and deflection, it’s needto pay attention to when the excavation.
