Today’s global energy crisis and environmental problems stimulate the develop-ment and utilization of wind energy on a large scale. With the development of windturbine’s trend of single machine but large capacity, and with the concretewind-turbine tower has many advantages such as corrosion resistance, high stability,convenient manufacture in-site and lower maintenance cost, concrete tower will havemore and more wide prospect.This article based on the seismic load, and application of large finite elementsoftware FINAL, the main research contents are: The influence of SSI effect on windpower tower natural vibration frequency and the seismic response, the influence of thechange of foundation stiffness on wind power tower natural vibration frequency andthe seismic response, the influence of the change of structural parameters on concretestructure wind power tower and steel structure wind power tower natural vibrationfrequency and the seismic response, and comparing the differences between them, andwe can get the law of the change of structural parameters on concrete structure windpower tower and steel structure wind power tower natural vibration frequency and theseismic response. Applying the seismic wave of Hokkaido southwest sea bridge in1993to the models. And then we can get the rule through analyzing and comparingthe seismic response of the wind power tower models.We can know that SSI effect,the change of foundation stiffness and the change of structural parameters are veryimportant for wind power tower natural vibration frequency and the seismicresponse.So we can not ignore the influence of the the interaction between soil andstructure and the change of structural parameters for the wind power tower which isbuilt on the Earthquake-prone areas.We should pay more attention to these actorswhen we design or analyse a wind power tower.
