Under the urbanization process of C hina, in order to take advantage of the land, the designers tend to design high buildings in the premise of meeting people’s requirements for buildings. Therefore, high buildings with large chassis and twin towers were the product of the era. Owing to the complexity and severity damaged by earthquakes, seismic analysis is particularly important for high buildings with large chassis and twin towers. The present study mainly analyzed the seismic performance of the irregular structure. It introduced the occurrence and classification of earthquakes, establishing three groups of reinforced concrete structural model. Then did the modal analysis for the seismic performance and performed a series of analysis, including bidirectional response spectrum analysis, linear time history analysis, and Pushover analysis. The study mainly did some relative research as following:1.Established three groups structure models of large chassis and twin towers, derived basic performance parameters according to the modal analysis(such as mass index), and judged the cumulative mass index.2.Conducted spectrum analysis of the three group’s structure models under one-way seismic response, calculated inter-story displacement angle through structure floor displacement analysis, and determined seismic performance of the structure. And then did the analysis for the first group model under the bi-earthquake response, we knew that irregular structure should consider the two-way action in the earthquakes after evaluating the model’s unidirectional, bidirectional earthquake reaction.3.Did linear time history analysis for the three models using seismic wave, determined the response of the structure under earthquakes and found the weak layers.4.Did the nonlinear static analysis for the model, and further evaluation the structures’ seismic performance through discussing performance point and plastic hinge.
