The conventional air-conditioning system which adopts cooling dehumidificationhas many defects, bacteria can thrive on the condensation surface and will cause a badindoor air quality, human health can be affected and will cause energy waste. For thisreason, an experiment on desiccant wheel assisted air-source middle-high temperatureheat pump was carried out, the main works and results are as follows:(1) Theoretical and experimental analysis of a new refrigerant mixtures namedBY-3was conducted on a single-stage vapor compression system. The results showsthat the out-let water temperature can reach81.52℃and the temperature rise is41.03℃, the COP of the system is higher than3.0when the temperature rise is45.28℃. Considering the good performance of BY-3, it could be applied to desiccantwheel and heat pump coupled system.(2) An theoretical and experimental research was carried out on double wheeldouble heat pump system, and the results shows that the double heat pumps systemhas higher requirement on matching of two kinds of working fluid and evaporatorexchange areas, what’s more, the operation of the system is also complicated, andthis part should be further studied.(3) An experiment of single wheel and single heat pump coupled system wasconducted in a variety of conditions, the results show that this system can fully meetair supply requirement and maintain high coefficient of performance. In summercondition, the outlet air of evaporator can reach a temperature under19℃when theoutdoor air in moderate temperature and moisture content; the outlet air temperatureof condenser can fully meet the requirement of desiccant wheel regeneration; theaverage coefficient of performance on the whole summer condition is2.73; theaverage dehumidification rate is32.7%.
