How to solve the problem of energy shortage and the contradiction betweenenergy and environment has become the focus of the world. As an important part ofthe building’s energy-saving, developing new applied technology of renewable energysources used in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems would be a strategicoption to adjust energy structure, preserve the ecological environment and achievesustainable development. The seawater source heat pump system has the advantagesof energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly, etc. The abundant resource ofcooling and heating water offered to buildings comes from the thermal power storedin the ocean. The ocean is a huge reservoir of renewable energy. The specific heatcapacity of seawater is larger than that of air, so seawater is very suitable for use as aheat source. It can greatly alleviate the pressure of the electricity consumption on airconditioning to use seawater as heat sources/sinks in heat pump systems in the coastalcities. Meanwhile it may bring huge economic and environmental benefits. Therefore,with the development of the heat pump technology in our country, seawater sourceheat pump can replace the traditional boiler heating and cold water chiller coolingfrom a technical point. The use of renewable energy could be realized. For this, in thecoastal city of Qinhuangdao, it is best to take the advantage of abundant seawaterfully and to spread the use of ocean energy widely. The application in Qinhuangdaoand economical efficiency of indirect type of seawater source heat pump are studiedin this thesis.Firstly, seawater temperature is the most direct factor influencing the feasibilityand economic operation of seawater source heat pump system. Therefore, via theconsult of seawater and air temperature in Qinhuangdao coastal areas, it is gained ofseawater temperature distribution along the different depths in summer and winter inQinhuangdao. Seawater temperature must be considered as a basic data during thedesign and calculation of seawater source heat pump system. So the influences ofseawater temperature on the COP and compressor power consumption of heat pumpare analyzed though the performance curves with different seawater temperatures inwinter or summer are obtained.Secondly, through designing the heating system in winter and the cooling systemin summer for a country guild, the designing and researching processes of seawater source heat pump systems are introduced. At first, the composition of the system isintroduced. Then the operating conditions of the system are described. At last, bycomparison of the merits and demerits of the three kinds of terminal equipment, suchas radiator, fan coil and low temperature radiation floor, the conclusion is given. Forthe lowest heating water temperature is needed in winter in radiation heating floorsystem with hard polyvinyl chloride pipes, this method is the most energy-efficientone.Finally, aiming at seawater source heat pump system with casted heat exchanger,and the other four systems, using the theory of economic, on the basis of respectivelyanalyzing the initial investment and operation cost of them, the functional importanceof five systems are compared. According to the calculated results of the initialinvestment and operation cost, the least is regarded as the best one. By analyzing andcomparing the energy efficiencies, economic returns and environmental protectionbenefits of five systems, SWHP system is the best one. This study would play ademonstrative role in the popularization and application of SWHP system inQinhuangdao.
