Nesting Light-gauge steel structure system building has the unique superiority oflight-weight, high-degree standardization, longer vibration period and non-sensitivity tothe earthquake, and also has great advantages in the "energy-saving, land-saving,water-saving, material-saving, environmental protection". In recent years, It has beenwidely used in low, multi-storey buildings.Nest light-gauge structure steel system is composed of plate column, squarecolumn, cross-braces, floor truss beam, OSB board strip, a plurality of connectors andother combinations, having complex structure and lacking matching design method andprocedure currently. With fewer basic research on it in the domestic, for instance, thesemi-rigid joints in the main parts and the lateral-resistance performance of walls arestill not deep enough, which need a large number of experimental study and theoreticalanalysis.Experimental research, a series of finite element analysis on five kinds of joints ofNesting Light-gauge steel structure system, meanwhile, and nonlinear finite elementanalysis on a series of walls utilizing the research achievements of semi-rigidconnection joints were done in this thesis. The main work and conclusions are asfollows:①Lateral-resistance level low cycle load tests based on three joints between platecolumn and floor truss beam, two joints between square column and floor truss beam,eight joints between plate column and OSB board strip, two joints between platecolumn and wuqi cross-brace and two modified joints between plate column and floortruss beam, five types of joints and a total of17joint specimens, were done in thethesis.②According to test results, the thesis describes the detailed testing process andphenomenons, comparing the hysteresis characteristic of the five types of joints, bearingcapacity and seismic performance. Tests show that the modified joints have the highestbearing capacity and energy-dissipation capacity and in contrast, the cross-brace jointsare the worst.③The thesis puts forward modeling method based on five kinds of joints andaccording to the test results, the simplified single-stiffness model and broken-linemodels of moment-rotation are proposed. ④The author designed13types of Nesting Light-gauge steel structure walls,leading plastic hinge models and nonlinear connection spring on both ends of thediagonal-brace, carried out nonlinear finite element analysis, and comparied thelateral-resistance performance of all kinds of walls. Simplified calculation method oflateral-resistance stiffness of walls with diagonal-braces is proposed in the thesis,utilizing the tension and compression reduction factor.The thesis provides basic datas for the analysis and design theory of NestingLight-gauge steel structure system, and a certain reference significance to design ofLight-gauge steel structure.
