Pressure regulating valve is an important component in hydraulic control system ofreversing clutch marine gearbox, the control effect of the whole hydraulic system aredirectly affected by the performance of the valve. As the development of wet frictionclutches towards the direction of high speed and large power, higher requirements ofpressure regulating valve on the operation stability and the accuracy of pressure controlare proposed. Therefore, flow field simulation of pressure regulating valve with movingmesh and fluid-structure coupling analysis are carried out combined with the principleof computational fluid dynamics (CFD), which has great theory significance andimportant engineering values on acquiring flow characteristics of flow field in pressureregulating valve and the law of spool motion.The topic of this thesis is supported by Key Science and Technology PlanningProjects of Chongqing. A research on flow field simulation of pressure regulating valveand spool motion analysis will be carried out in the paper. The work can be summarizedas follows:(1) Taking the structure parameters of the pressure regulating valve into account,fluid steady-state analytical models of internal flow channel of pressure regulatingvalves are built in ANSYS/CFX. Then the regularities of distribution of pressure,velocity, turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate on internal flow channel are obtainedat different opening positions by CFD simulation.(2) Fluid transient-state analytical model of internal flow channel of pressureregulating valves is built with moving boundaries derived from transient motionequations of spool. A dynamic simulation of flow field is conducted with moving meshtechnology by CFX. After that the influence law of stiffness of spring, lubricant flowand oil temperature are studied.(3) Computational models including internal flow channel of pressure regulatingvalve and spool in the valve are built respectively, according to the pressure test curve,pressure field and velocity field of internal flow channel of pressure regulating valve areobtained during the engagement and disengagement process of clutch by the method ofimmersed solids of CFX. And then, the law influence of the oil temperature on the flowfield characteristic of internal flow channel during the process of engagement anddisengagement is investigated. (4) Based on principle of fluid-structure coupling, the simulation consideringcoupling between flow field of internal flow channel valve and spool of pressureregulating valve are conducted using workbench. The displacement field and stress fieldon the valve at different opening positions are obtained, and then the influence law oftemperature on deformation and stress of spool of pressure regulating valve isdiscussed.
