The emergence of high-speed railway has put forward higher requirements on theobservation and evaluation method of roadbed settlement deformation.The strict monitoring ofthe line engineering(roadbed, bridge and culvert, tunnel, etc.) settlement after construction is animportant method to ensure the safe operation of trains for long term. This paper proposes thatusing position sensitive detector(PSD) as the measurement element and ZigBee technology as theway of communication between the system devices to structure high-speed railway roadbedsettlement monitoring system. This paper mainly includes the following four aspects:(1)According to the basic function and requirement of roadbed settlement monitoring,design the overall structure of the system. The system consists of subgrade settlement collector,subgrade settlement monitoring terminal, wireless transmission module and PC interface ofmonitoring system;(2)The hardware design of the system. Using CC2430MCU as the main chip of settlementcollector to realize the information collection of subgrade settlement and data wirelesscommunication. And using ARM(STM32) as the main chip of settlement monitoring terminal torealize data processing and storage, and serial communication with host computer(the PC inmonitoring center) and inferior machine(CC2430), and use the wireless communication functionof CC2430to set up the wireless network. And then constitute the hardware of subgradesettlement monitoring system by these two parts.(3)The software design of the system. It mainly include the establishment of ZigBeenetwork, data wireless transmitting, the information collection of subgrade settlement, and serialcommunication, data storage of monitoring terminal, and other parts of software design.(4)The interface design of monitoring system center on PC. It mainly used to display themonitoring time, the section of railway, the settlement data and realize the alarm of insufficientpower supply of equipment, the threshold value alarm of settlement data and other functions.Finally, combine the hardware and software to debug each module of the system. Throughthe experiment, analyze the effects of different environments for measurement and networkcommunication processing of ZigBee. The test result shows that the system is stable and has thecharacteristics of high precision of measurement and accurate data transmission. It basicallyreached the requirement of this subject.
