To meet the requirement of the increasing powered function and improved complexity ofthe high pressure common rail diesel engine’s electronical controlled unit(ECU),we find it ismore and more difficult to develop a kind of ECU. Traditionally,we gradually debug a new kindof ECU by bench testing,but it let us face so many disadvantages,for example,it costs us moretime and money,and its debugging environment is not stable,however its repeatability is reallynot good,so the traditional ways are no longer adapted to the need of the ECU’s upgrading.Nowadays,we use computer aided instruments to develop a kind of ECU,it supports us a fullprocedure of requirements definition until final product.Meanwhile, energy crisis is coming to us and energy conservation and emission reductionhave becomed social common view.As a kind of environment friendly and renewable greenalternative fuel,biodiesel’s flashing lightning、cetane number and oxygen content are allsuperior to to general petroleum, biodiesel can make the engine’s emission fit to relatedstandard,and it can effectively improve the environmental pollution,and it also makes less harmto our body.So,this paper has tried to establish a set of the hardware-in-the-loop(HIL)simulation system of the biodiesel high pressure common rail engine’s ECU and successedfinally.Firstly,this paper aimed to the laboratory’s existing engine pedestal,on the basis of fullyrealizing the composition and the operating principle of the biodiesel high pressure commonrail engine and its electronic control system,the engine’s control strategy was analysised,and theengine’s mean value model was built by Matlab/Simulink,and the engine and its electroniccontrol system model were translated into the dynamic link library(DLL) documents which canbe called by LabVIEW;Secondly,this paper researched the hybrid programming of LabVIEWand Matlab,and the program module of LabVIEW calling DLL documents wasdeveloped;Then,this paper used the LabVIEW software to develop a set of measurement andcontrolling system of the HIL simulation syastem which include data acquisition programmodule、data output and control program module、data flow analysis program module andhuman-computer interaction interface program module,meanwhile it used National Instrument’sI/O module to realize the collecting and outputting of the data,and the NI cRIO-9004embeddedreal time controller was mounted in the NI cRIO-9104case;Finally,this paper established a setof the HIL simulation system of the biodiesel high pressure common rail engine’s ECU,thesystem can well control the engine’s speed when the engine is on the starting and idling state,itproves that the designing scheme of the HIL simulation system is feasible,and this paper alsoanalysised and summarized the experimental result.
