The fourth-party logistics is based on the third-party logistics for the further developmentof logistics,4PL integrates and manages different resources, capabilities and technologies of itsown resources and complementary service providers,4PL provides customers with acomprehensive sense of the supply chain solutions as a business model.4PL is mainly dividedinto three different modes of operation, they are collaborative operation type, integrated typeand industry innovative type. In those different modes4PL distribution vehicle routingoptimization focus on different concerns. Therefore, this paper focuses on the first two modesof operation, and converts4PL distribution vehicle routing problem into multiple agents andVRP problems.In the collaborative operation of4PL operation mode,4PL provides3PL of its lack inresources, information technology and strategic skills. At this point,4PL’s distribution vehiclerouting optimization problem is VRP. Build mathematical model for VRP, search directionselection through the genetic algorithm, and the adaptive choice of crossover probability andmutation probability, based on ensuring the efficiency of genetic algorithm, to avoid geneticalgorithm dropping into a local optimal solution too early. At the same time, chromosomecoding, operator selection, crossover operator, a fitness function and exit condition of geneticalgorithm in VRP were designed. Through case analysis, verify the effective convergencewhich could be obtained on the premise that the improve genetic algorithm could ensure globaloptimal solution.In the program integrated type of4PL operation mode,4PL makes use of the regionaladvantages of3PL to provide a lower total cost of logistics service to customers. At this point,4PL’s distribution routing optimization problem is mainly the problem of multiple agents.Through the mathematical modeling of multiple agents’ problem, achieve4PL’s distributionvehicle routing optimization when multiple agents by the method of the master job integrationalgorithm. Combined with case analysis, verify the effectiveness of the solution, and the masterjob integration algorithm can achieve multiple agents’ distribution routing optimization underthe4PL background.This paper studies4PL’s distribution vehicle routing optimization, the paper not onlyconsiders the VRP in the process of operation of single3PL company, but also studies multipleagents’ problem in4PL. By integrating regional advantages of multiple3PL companies, lowertotal cost of logistics distribution scheme could be provided.
