Recycled aggregate concrete technology can realize the effective use ofconstruction waste, the reduction of urban environmental pollution andresource-saving. It has very obvious environmental and social benefits. Nowadays, thetechnical research on the application of recycled aggregate concrete in buildingstructures has become a hot spot in engineering field. In order to meet therequirements of engineering development, bending performance of steel deckrecycled aggregate concrete composite slabs was studied in this paper. The maincontributions are as follows:1. Bending performance tests of six steel deck concrete composite slabs withordinary strength recycled aggregate concrete were carried out, including two steeldeck normal concrete composite slabs, two steel deck recycled coarse aggregateconcrete composite slabs and two steel deck recycled coarse aggregate concretecomposite slabs with steel truss. Bending performances and failure characteristics ofsteel deck recycled coarse aggregate concrete composite slabs with different designparameters were studied.2. Bending performance tests of four steel deck concrete composite slabs withhigh strength recycled aggregate concrete were carried out, including two steel decknormal concrete composite slabs and two steel deck recycled coarse aggregateconcrete composite slabs. Bending performances and failure characteristics of steeldeck high strength recycled coarse aggregate concrete composite slabs with differentdesign parameters were studied.3. Calculation formulas for the bending capacity of steel deck recycled coarseaggregate concrete composite slab with or without steel truss were established.The main conclusions and suggestions:(1)The failure mode of steel deck recycled coarse aggregate concrete compositeslab is bending failure.(2)The failure process of steel deck recycled coarse aggregate concretecomposite slab is same as that of steel deck normal concrete composite slab, whichcan be divided into three stages, including elastic stage, cracking stage and failurestage.(3)The bending capacity of recycled coarse aggregate concrete composite slab islower than that of normal concrete composite slab. The reduction rate of the yield loadand the ultimate load are within8%. (4)Adding steel truss in steel deck concrete composite slabs can obviouslyincrease its bending capacity.(5)In the design of recycled coarse aggregate concrete composite slab, thethickness of steel deck being designed as1%of the thickness of composite slab isreasonable.(6)Increasing the thickness of composite slab can obviously improve thebending capacity of recycled aggregate concrete composite slabs.(7)Construction measure of adding steel truss and calculation formulas for thebending capacity of recycled aggregate concrete composite slabs in this paper can beused for reference in practical engineering design.(8)Calculation formulas for the deflection of the code for design of concretestructures can be used in the composite slabs with closed profiled steel deck-recycledconcrete.
