As a kind of passive energe disspation device, viscous fluid damper can provideappropriate damping for structure enduring external loads to reducing the displacementand acceleration. So the viscous fluid damper often has been maken use of providingsmooth and steady revolving motion at low speed for the anti-tank missile weaponsystem sighting and tracking device. The research object of this thesis is the coneassembly fluid damper equipped for the launcher of anti-tank weapon system, the maincontents are outlined as follows:Characters about damping medium are introduced at first. Based on the fluiddynamics theory, the mechanic model of damping force and velocity are derived whenthe working medium of dampers are Newtonial fluid from the constitutive model ofviscous fluid.Based on the numeric calculation theory of the CFD (Computation FluidDynamics)and FLOTRAN CFD block of ANSYS softwear, the parametric analysisprogram for cone assembly fluid damper can be generated in the form of the commandstream by using APDL(ANSYS Parametric Design Language). The accuracy ofANSYS simulation analysis was verified by the analytical solution according to theoryformulas on the simplified boundary condition. The result shows that the analyticalsolution has a higher precision. The cone assembly fluid damper with dual-helix slot was calculated and analysedby using parameterized program, and the curves of distribution of the shear stress at thewall in different fluid velocity and thickness were plotted out. The performanceexperiments to the viscous damper are carried out, and the analytical solution fit theexperimental data very well.In this paper, the efficiency of analysis has been greatly improved by using ofAPDL language, the research and development cycle has been shorten, and the costs hasbeen reduced too. In addition, Parametric analysis is of great benefit to the finiteelement optimization.
