Through the precast RC infill wall, the composite steel frame-precast reinforcedconcrete infill wall can increase the lateral stiffness of the structure. And the infill RC wallcan be installed at the same time with steel frame. Thus the composite steel frame-precastRC infill wall give full play to the advantages of the steel frame and the RC shear wall, andhave a good economic benefit. The paper was aimed at the investigation of the lateralresistance performance of the whole steel frame-precast RC infill wall and conclusions ofthe investigation were listed as following:1. Numerical simulations of steel frame and steel frame-precast reinforced concreteinfill wall were carried out using the ABAQUS program to compare the mechanicalproperty of the two structures under monotonic loading. The lateral stiffness and bearingcapacity have been improved after infilling RC walls into steel frame. The ratio of the shearforce bore by infill RC walls reduced along with the increasing of the structure’s lateraldisplacement. The paper also compared the mechanical property of steel frame-precastreinforced concrete infill wall with the changing parameters, including high-width,thickness, inserting shape steel, distributing bars of RC walls and the axial compression ofsteel frame and then gave reasonable ranges of these parameters.2. The paper analyzed the mechanical property of the steel frame and steelframe-precast reinforced concrete infill wall with6and18layers to3across under reversetriangle load distribution, and studied the lateral stiffness of structure on differentdistribution of RC infill wall, and then gave reasonable proposals of distributing RC wall.3. According to a practical engineering background, the numerical model of steel frameand steel frame-precast RC infill wall of6and18layers were established, then analyzedtheir dynamic characteristics with modal analysis and seismic response with responsespectrum analysis and elastic-plastic time history analysis.
