The energy issues have been paid more and more attention currently. So people beginto advocate developing new energy, walking clean, environmental protection,pollution-free and economical way. The Distributed Generation technology has become aresearch hotspot, and the concept of micro-grid is advanced based on this. Micro-gridassembles Distributed Generation technology, inverter control technology and energystorage technology. It not only operates to the utility, but also operates itself, and providescontinuous and reliable electric power to the local load. This paper describes thecharacteristics of the two modes of operation, and related control mode. The invertercontrol strategys are studied based on the above research, and a mathematical model ofinverter control model was derived.The system modeling, simulation, control and protection of micro-grid have madesignificant development, and there are many kinds of modeling method. The paper focuson the modeling and stability analysis of the micro-grid using the Automated State ModelGeneration(ASMG) algorithm based on the existing modeling methods. The state spacemodel of micro-grid are derived using ASMG, it can be used for system simulation anddynamic response, and analyzing the relationship between control parameters and thesystem stability through the distribution of system eigenvalue. In order to study theapplication of the ASMG algorithm in the micro-grid, it is programed in MATLAB, andcompared with the results of Simulink simulation. The results testified that ASMGalgorithm suitables for the modeling of the micro-grid and analysising the relationshipbetween the stability and the inverter parameters of micro-grid. It provided a theoreticaldescription and design basis about determining the inverter parameters and made thesystem stability analysis has been further development.
