Now in the war, the battlefield information contents are too heavy, and highQoS of information is required. In order to meet the requirements of quicktransmission without congestion for battlefield informations and some relevantbusinesses, we study the network technology in the tactical net work and thecorresponding modification plans about the routing protocols.Firstly analyse the characteristics and some shortcomings of the traditionaltactical network, and analyse the structure of the wireless Mesh network basedon the tactical network. Then we discuss the routing protocols of the wirelessMesh network, and choose the suitable routing protocols for the special needs ofthe tactical network. And then, according to the hierarchical structure of the wireless Meshnetwork, we choose to use the OLSR in the Mesh routing level, here we analysethe standard OLSR, and design the OLSR protocol based on dynamic link cost, inwhich the the MPR selection algorithm to improve is researched. In addition, how to realize the improved OLSR is explained by details. In the following, wesimulated both the standard OLSR and the improved OLSR in the OPNETnetwork, and through the comparison of the simulation results, we can see thatthe improved OLSR have a better performance. Then in order to cater to the requirements for the wireless Mesh in thetactical network, we propose to use AODV in the customers level. In this chapter,we first analyse the standard AODV, and according to the specific circumstancesof the battlefield, we design the AODV protocol based on the dynamic link cost. Then the modified route selecting algorithm in the AODV protocol is presented, and we still simulate the improved AODV in OPNET. Three scenes are shown, they are static, low speed and high-speed mobile nodes in the network, the simulation results proved the feasibility of our algorithm. Then through thecomparison of one single business and three businesses, the advantages ofimproved AODV in the load balancing are demonstrated.
