The stepper motor is an important part of industrial automation control field.The networked control system is an inevitable development trend of the steppermotor motion control system. For the shortcomings and deficiencies of thetraditional control system, motion control system based on fieldbus and industrialEthernet networks are developing rapidly, and becoming a research hotspot gradually.This thesis researches the design of the networked motion control system basedon the stepper motor. First, study on the drive and control method of the steppingmotor, and complete the design of the drive system and control program. Secondly,design the networked motion control system based on modbus/485bus. Apply themodbus to build a master-slave network through the RS485bus. Develop the controlsoftware based on LabVIEW, and complete the design of hardware and software forthe slave station by DSP TMS320F28027. In order to obtain the control system,which has better network and controlling performance, the networked motion controlsystem based on CANopen/EtherCAT has been designed. Complete the configurationin PC, which is the master. And design the slave station by DSP TMS320F28335andthe dedicated slave controller. With CANopen application, build the master and slavestation communication network motion control system based on EtherCAT.Experimental testing showed that, the system based on modbus/485bus haslow cost, stable communication ability, limited load capacity, and poor networkperformance. It needs average delaying time of13.2ms for10bytes of dataexchange. While another system based on CANopen/EtherCAT has better networkperformance, great load capacity, but higher cost. It only needs average delayingtime of less then300us for1486bytes of data exchange. Both of them can achievethe communication and complete the remote control successfully. And each has itsown suitable applications.
