Pipeline welding technology is a key technology in pipeline construction, there is a problem of low degree of automation.A key factor in this problem is the problem of remote control and networking between the control platform and the execution terminal. This paper proposes a design scheme of stepper motor remote motion control system composed of upper computer, lower position machine and mechanical actuator to solve the remote control problem between the control platform and the execution terminal in pipeline welding. In this paper, the PC is used as the host computer. The host computer interface is designed based on the virtual instrument development platform LabVIEW.The command information is transmitted to the lower computer with the FPGA as the control center through the LoRa wireless communication link. After the FPGA analyzes the command information,it calls the control program to drive the stepper motor to realize remote control of the welding operation of the welding gun. This paper adopts the combination of software and hardware to achieve. The hardware components of the stepper motor remote motion control system are designed according to the module, and then complete the schematic drawing and PCB fabrication.According to the FPGA development process, the Verilog program code is written into a module, and then complete the functional simulation of the underlying code. The design of the host computer interface refers to the control interface layout of the wired handheld box. Finally,Complete the joint tuning experiment. The experimental results show that the hardware circuit design is reliable, the system function is normal, the motor runs stably, and the design requirements are met.
