Investigating of wind hazard in the city in recent years showed that underthe destruction of the typhoon or tornado effect, the main structure of the build-ings countered less damage, it is the envelope structure of buildings, while thewindborne debris is the major source of occurring of disasters, with the rapiddevelopment of computer performance, the use of computational fluid dynamics(CFD) technology to research wind-induced flight characteristics of windbornedebris becomes more and more mature. There have been some scholars who usedCFD technology to research wind-induced flight characteristics of windbornedebris, but these theories mainly based on the quasi-steady assumptions and didnot consider the effect of coupling between the wind and windborne debris. Thisstudy will use unsteady theory to realize the dynamic simulation of windbornedebris in wind field. The author determined the contents of this article on the ba-sis of a large number of domestic and foreign literature, the contents are as fol-lows:(1) Realizing the unsteady method of researching windborne debris, thisstudy will make use of the CFD simulation technology to study the flight beha-vior of windborne debris with unsteady method, and discuss the results of un-steady method, quasi-steady method and wind tunnel tests to verify the advan-tages and reliability of the unsteady method to simulate flight behaviors ofwindborne debris. The results showed that: using unsteady method to researchthe flight performance of windborne debris in wind field is feasible, and the cal-culating results show it has great consistency with the wind tunnel test results.Windborne debris will have larger distance in the horizontal direction and largervelocity when considering the coupling effect of the wind field and the plate-type windborne debris than not considering coupling.(2) Analysis the flight characteristics and impact parameters of the plate-type windborne debris, this study based on the three-dimensional plate-typewindborne debris as the numerical model, consider the coupling effect of thewind field and the plate-type windborne debris. Researching the flight of time,the maximum flight distance, the maximum flight speed and flight trajectory un-der the different model scale parameters, different wind speed and different windangle of attack. The results showed that: Increasing of value of "K"(the ratio ofwind force to gravity suffered on the windborne debris) will directly lead to the increasing of horizontal speed and vertical speed of windborne debris. Changingof horizontal wind direction scale of windborne debris does not significantly af-fect the flight behavior. Initial wind angle of attack has a significant impact onthe velocity and posture of windborne debris.This study provides a new means to research windborne debris of usingCFD numerical simulation...
