As more and more widespread application of digital potentiometer, the resolutionof the digital potentiometer increasingly high demand. In this paper, the analysis andresearch of how to improve the system’s resolution is based on high-resolution,low-cost ideas to complete the design. This study is through the structure of thedesign system to improve the resolution of the board-level circuit, mainly embodiedin the digital potentiometer chip, multiplexer chip and microcontroller developmentboard system circuit.Digital potentiometer chip’s interface and microcontroller’s interface connectedthrough the design to achieve application control regulation. At the same time, it has abutton control, with potential and resistance adjustment function. Microcontrollersand low-resolution digital potentiometer chips design the peripheral circuit, to achievethe transformation of the high resolution of the board-level system. Finally, weachieve the higher cost-effective board-level system.The main work of this paper is two-fold. The first is the choice of chip select, thedigital potentiometer chip, multiplexer chip and microcontroller development board;furthermore system circuit design, theoretical analysis of the chip development board,software development design.After the research as well as analysis of the working principle of the digitalpotentiometer chip, combined with the system hardware platform and softwareplatform designed to build a mixed-signal system circuit board-level circuit design toachieve high-resolution digital-to-analog mixed signal system, and finally makingcircuit PCB plate, and hardware debugging.
