A new type of composite structure named precast concrete tube column, is a wholecolumn manufactured by instantly pouring concrete into a precast reinforced concretetube to share the load, and the precast reinforced concrete tube acts as template andload bearing as well, which gives full play to the role of the member. Precastreinforced concrete tube has guaranteed quality and high bearing capacity, which canreduce template job, shorten the construction period and provide broad applicationprospects. The beam-column joint is the most complex stressed and the most crucialpart of the frame construction, and especially when the structure behaveselastic-plastic response under the effects of earthquake, joints play a key role to theintegrality and stability of the whole structure. Therefore, the patterns and stressperformance of the join joints between precast concrete tube column and beam systemwere studied on the basis of the research on the bearing behavior of precast concretetube column. With reference to the types of the reinforced concrete beam connectionjoint of concrete-filled steel tube column, cross-core type, beam-through type, ringbeam-column through type and ring beam-column non-penetrated type were designedfor that of precast concrete tube column. The finite element models of the four kindsof joint types and the contrast models of the common reinforced concretebeam-column joint were established by nonlinear finite element modeling softwareABAQUS, and vertical bearing performance, horizontal bearing performance andhysteric property of joints under low-cycle reversed load were calculated with finiteelement method respectively. The simulation results showed that the bearing capacity of the four kinds ofbeam-column joints of precast concrete tube was higher than that of the commonbeam-column joint under vertical load, and only the damage position of thebeam-through joint lied in joint area; under one-way horizontal load, the bearingcapacity of designed joints and that of common joint were not that different, and yielddisplacement and defected mode of the all were nearly the same; under horizontallow-cycle reversed load, ring beam types of joints failed to get complete hysteresiscurves, while the fullness of hysteresis curves of beam-through joint and cross-coreone was slightly poor compared to the common one, and degeneration factor ofbearing capacity was more than0.95, which could satisfy the project need.
