Study On Urban Space Ecological Expansion Mode Of Chongqing Main City Zone Based On Low-carbon Transport Strategy

Rapid urbanization has a significant impact on the global environment. Thedevelopment and system maintenance of the city need large amounts of resource whichproduce large amounts of greenhouse gases. So there are global warming and otherclimate issues. Transportation industry became the second one in the carbon emission.Low-carbon technology has become the theme of the urban development currently andplayed an important role in sustainable development in mountainous city. Constrainedby natural conditions, most mountainous cities have to take clustered pattern andleaping style for space development. Combining low-carbon transportation constructionwith the space expansion for mountainous city can solve the conflicts between organicdevelopment of urban space, environment protection and energy conservation.Chongqing urban spatial development will face good opportunities and severechallenges in critical transition period of the economic restructuring and rapidurbanization. But how Chongqing achieves reasonable and orderly development,ecological environmental protection and energy conservation and emission reduction isworth studying.The paper analyses coupling relationship between low-carbon traffic and urbanspatial expansion in Chongqing and the problem they faced, and provides an ecologicalexpansion mode of urban spatial. It can steer Chongqing urban spatial in a low-carbonand ecological direction, promoting harmony between city and nature.Paper contains four parts of six chapters:The first chapter mainly discusses the research background, significance, content,concepts，research approaches basic approach and frameworks of the paper.Chapter Ⅱ is the basic theory for the research, it is the basic theoretical research ofthe paper and it discusses the study’s content and internal links, in addition, summarizesthe theory and practice of domestic and foreign review.Chapter Ⅲ is the present situation of the research papers supporting part. combthrough the development of Chongqing urban space expansion and urban spatial form, itsummarizes characteristics and trends of urban space expansion, analyzes the problemsand influencing factors of Chongqing urban space expansion.The fourth chapter is the paper exploratory research part, also be the core part ofthis paper. The mode of urban space ecological expansion is put forward by combining low-carbon transport with urban space expansion, including contents, objectives andprinciples, characteristic and implementation strategy.In chapter Ⅴ, the author studies the details of the urban spatial ecological expansionof Chongqing。First，the author proposes a low-carbon transport system which can beimplemented in Chongqing。Then，based on the influence of public transport andnon-motorized traffic on the urban space expansion，the author establishes two urbanspace expansion modes: public transport-urban space incremental development andnon-motorized traffic-urban space capability development，and explores the possibleways to implement them.In last chapter，the author summarizes the main conclusions of this paper andpoints out the direction of post-research on the urban ecological spatial expansion basedon the low-carbon transport strategy of Chongqing.
