A Study On The Applications Of The Internet Of Things For Intelligent Transportation

The Internet of Things (IOT), as an important part of a new generation information technology, can be employed to connect things into the internet, exchange information and communicate according to formed protocol through the RFID, GPS and other information sensing devices. With the developing of the IOT, there will be giving impetus for the technical development and the improvements of the advanced traveler information systems.In this thesis, a general introduction and summary of the connotation and development process of the IOT are given. It is emphasized that the integration of the IOT and the telecommunication operators will be a tendency in future. Then, the interconnection architecture division between the domestic and the foreign is analyzed and compared. The research focuses on studying the communication operators, the strategy, the IOT development mode and the application of IOT in the intelligent traffic. By use of the construct project of Xuzhou telecommunication intelligent traffic monitoring system, the IOT application in intelligent traffic is demonstrated, and the enormous social benefits are estimated. Finally, the conclusion can be made that, as the builders and operators, telecommunication operators have so much superiority that they should be the leader of the technical development and the disseminator.
