On Landscape Survey For Hangzhou Sanatorium

China has been growing old at an unprecedented speed and on a remarkable scale in world history nowadays. It is commonly believed in academic circles that the aging of population will reach a peak in about2030, that is to say in the near future four out of ten will be members of the aged. Retirement crisis has already been the biggest problem affecting the development of China. Attention of the contemporary society has been drawn to sanitarium to meet the convalescent need of aged people in urban area.Since China’s reform and opening up, various levels of its social life has undertaken profound changes. As people’s living standard and various social undertakings are consistently improving, they tend to put more emphasis on their health. In this grand environment, people’s requirements towards sanitarium are no longer limited to its function structure and medical service. They set forth higher standard for its landscape environment and various circles of society gradually pay more attention to landscape design of sanitarium.Exterior landscape is a necessary part of a sanitarium. In21st century, with the improvement of their living standard, people’s requirements towards a sanitarium tend to be higher, however, for a long period, landscape of sanitariums hasn’t got enough attention. In foreign countries, especially in developed countries, people have already achieved much in research and development of such garden landscape while in china this kind of research is rare. So far we have conducted less research of sanitarium landscape design at home than abroad. Conducting an in-depth research of sanitariums in Hangzhou and finding out the existing problems of sanitarium landscape design in Hangzhou is of significance for the development of public health there, at the same time it sets an example for landscape construction of urban sanitarium landscape in our country.This paper proceeds from the realities of sanitarium in Hangzhou and it has12sanitariums of Hangzhou in the research. Firstly it deals with the understanding of the topic, briefs the background and significance of the research in sanitarium landscape and points out basic method and structure of this paper. Secondly, it combines with a wide range of field surveys and consultations to know current situation of sanitarium landscape in Hangzhou and analyze the existing problems, laying a foundation and start point for the research. For the last part, it sums up the main problems of sanitarium landscape in Hangzhou, makes a comprehensive analysis of the current situation and problems of sanitariums in Hangzhou, draws a sanitarium distribution map of Hangzhou and finally offers some suggestions for the improvement of sanitarium landscape design.
