Problems of low heat transfer efficiency and easy scaling of the shell-and-tube heat exchangers which are widely used in many industrial processes are delayed to be effectively addressed.Thus causing a lot of waste of energy resources.The working fluid of the heat exchanger device has a certain viscosity in the process of liquid food,light chemical products and the oil and chemical industry. With the viscosity of the working fluid increased,the convective heat transfer coefficient is lower and the kinetic energy consumption is higher,and the heat transfer tubes are prone to scaling.Therefore, it is of great significance to study on heat transfer enhancement and descaling technologies of heat transfer equipments under such conditions.Firstly,comprehensive heat transfer enhancement performance of the rotor-assembled strands working in transition region is studied according to the mechanism of the heat transfer enhancement.The heat transfer and pressure drop performance of the rotors with different shapes, different structural parameters and different arrangements are respectively compared by experimental study,while better structural parameters and arrangements are concluded.In addition,the influence of the viscosity of the medium for comprehensive heat transfer enhancement performance of the rotor-assembled strands is discussed in this paper. The heat transfer and pressure drop performance of the medium with different viscosity are compared under the same volume.Secondly, the descaling performance of the rotor-assembled strands is comparatively studied through the the dirt test experimental table,in order to get the self-cleaning properties of the rotors.It is found that the self-cleaning performance of the rotor-assembled strands is quite obvious and the descaling performance is enhanced with the running time increased.Finally, this paper describes the industrial applications of the rotor-assembled strands.Its energy-saving programs used in heat exchanger are improved.The effects as well as some issues in practical applications of the rotor-assembled strands are analyzed, laying a foundation for the future promotion of the industrial applications of rotor-assembled strands.
