International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor(ITER) is a large-scale international cooperation project which is studying, whose purpose is to demonstrate the technological exactitude, engineering feasibility, operating security of thermonuclear fusion reactor as an energy source through the creation of a self-sustaining burning Tokamak. Satellite (diagnosis line rose of feeder) is a subcomponent part of ITER feeder, each diagnosis line of each feeder is introduced by satellite. The design and manufacturing of satellite involves statics, material science and other disciplines of knowledge. This research focuses on:how to optimize the satellite design with the overall structure of satellite and the requirement of strength were taken into consideration, through which try to achieve the purpose of reducing quality. This thesis mainly is summarized as follows:(1)Based on the related national pressure vessel standards, regulations and rules, the thesis not only analyses the process of vacuum pressure vessel satellite components (cylindrical shell, flange, sealing top) but also designs them conventionally. In order to simplify the design process, the pressure vessel design analysis method and graphic algorithm were employed in the conventional design of all the components of satellite, which gives great reference to the design of other large pressure vessel.(2)In the optimization process, the combination of the methods of conventional design and analysis design were adopted in the thesis, in which two optimization scheme were considered:one is to reduce stress and strain in the way of enhancing the satellite’s own strength, which is named the scheme of increasing the thickness of cylindrical drum body wall; the other one is to reduce stress concentration by the increase of satellite bearing, which aims to reach the purpose of structure optimizing. Finally, analysis results show that the two kinds of optimization scheme both meet the design requirements, but the quality of enhanced satellite bearing is lower and the structure is simpler, by which the satellite’s design goal is completed.(3)By the structure optimizing analysis of the satellite, the thesis obtained the satellite’s stress and strain distribution and provided the theory support for further improvement design and production.This thesis improves the design efficiency and accuracy with the adoption of the combination of conventional design method and analysis design method, which provide a larger reference value for the study of the late officers.
