Vehicle drivetrain torsional vibration,as an important branch of vehicle vibration, affects comfort and running smoothness performance of vehicle. Nowadays,in vehicle drivetrain designing, dynamic performance and fuel economy is considered much more than torsional vibration. With engine turning to higher speed and more powerful, engine load becomes heavier, torque incentived by explosive force and the reciprocating inertia moment of piston become intensified,the torsional vibration becomes more serious. Therefore,to make a accurate model and based on the vibration characteristics of the powertrain,study on vehicle drivetrain torsional vibration has its realistic significance.This paper give the preliminary introduction about bend torsion coupling vibration whic h intercept the infinitesimal shaft section as the research object, and calculate rotational inert ia and the stiffness of each component in the power transmission system, the mathematical m odel of bend torsion coupling vibration is established on the basis of the power transmission system is regarded as a series of typical unit like rotor, bearing, coupling, etc. Secondly, com bined with transfer matrix method to solve for the model, eight order frequency and vibratio n mode of figure of power transmission system were got, analysis and compare the results wi th the results of considering torsional vibration, to know that low frequency phase of the syst em’s coupled vibration are mainly affected by the torsional vibration, in addition, modes dia gram can describe the amplitude ratio of node position, but can not obtain the actual amplitu de of each node. As a result, transmission system is optimized from the perspective of torsio nal vibration is given by the article.The system’s vibration condition under fixed torque of e ach node through the simulink simulation software were got. to optimize vibration characteri sties by modified the designated location parameter. This paper also consider that the cross a xis and the shape of components are more complex, entities are adopted to establish the finit e element model of transmission shaft, modal analysis was carried out on the transmission sh aft. To compare and to analyze the vibration characteristics, when the shaft part coupled ben ding and torsion. Finally, torsional vibration test is given for power transmission system of t he vehicle, the vibration situation were compared and analyzed for different working conditi ons. At the same time,the test compare with simulation mode to analysis and proves that the accuracy of the simulation model and optimization of the reliability of the results.
