| Qinling-Dabashan Mountains range through east and west, interrupting the connection between central and western areas of china. To get through this natural obstruct, ancestors overcame unimaginable difficulties, perforated on these continuous, numerous cliffs and precipices to set wooden frames laying as plank roads. Thousand miles transportation network bought the social, economical and cultural exchanges of Qin-Shu areas. Along with the thrive of Shu Road, the landscape value of Plank Road is more concerned and considered, especially, its fabulous mountain style and steep trend of road line form a kind of unique arctic glamour. Besides its important role on transportation for thousands years, plank road’s landscape value has been developed nowadays. So it’s significant to seek the value of both landscape and tourism development of Plank Road. The thesis is based on the current situation of Plank Road to make some tentative discussion of tourism parts.The writing talks about the plank road surrounded by special mountain environment of Qinling-Dabashan region, using poetry historical materials and expedition research as theoretical foundations, making essential analysis on aspects including history, characters, distributed lines, constituted type, main functions, and values of Plank Road. It is also clarifying the basic characters of Plank Road such as built in south-and-north direction, along the water line and7more kinds of special shapes. Due to Plank Road’s extremely significant function in transportation of Qinling-Dabashan region, its ruins,reserved lines and related documents play important role in studies of constitution of transportation, historical, cultural and mountain landscape value.The writer chooses the Baoxie plank road and Jinniu plank road as representative cases, pointing out the plank road’s current condition through the analysis of history, ruins and distributed road lines, especially ancient documents, literature and picture materials. The writing deeply states Plank Road’s historical landscape profile from ontology, extension, nature and culture aspects, in order to show a kind of unique arctic glamour. Along with the gradual development of application for the List of World Heritage for Shu Road, Plank Road becomes the target in the process of continuing culture of Shu Road. The writing focuses on making a further analysis of Baoxie plank road and Jinniu plank road, which based on the condition of scenic spot of Plank Roads tourism, raising some basic strategies on the synthesized development.Qinling-Dabashan plank road represents the construction of roads in the background of given geomorphologic condition and given time period, as an important source of cultural lines heritage, possessing enormous research value. As a first experience researcher, the author hopes to provide some references for Plank Road landscape’s excavation and its sustainable development under the background of which cultural lines heritage and Shu road’s development are getting more noticed. |
