With the development of China’s transportation, especially since the reform and opening up, along with the rapid development of the economy and traffic transportation, traffic volume growth increases rapidly day by day, heavy duty vehicles, large vehicles also grow greatly, The requirements of the road, such as safety, speediness and heavy duty is more and more strict. Huge traffic volume also brings common phenomenon about shortage of bearing capacity, especially70-80s, even90s in the last century, the class of designed load is lower, and at present, the most of bridges are still in the service, which lead to different degree of ageing, cracking, breakage. The local damage of bridge structure in one or several part may produce a chain reaction, which can spread to more part, develop into more damage, and even endanger the safety of the whole bridge. As we are all known from experience, it is not reality that all demolition reconstruction of the bridge, only for the existing old, dangerous bridge; the maintenance and reinforcement is a feasible way.The research is based on existing T-girder bridge inspection and carrying capacity evaluation as research content, doing a detailed instruction about the bridge evaluation method of the carrying capacity, and relying on downstream highway bridge under the GuanYinGe reservoir dam, from the visual examination, nondestructive testing, carrying capacity, check and calculate the static load test, dynamic load test and actuators, bridge inspection work is introduced, the testing results were evaluated on bearing capacity.It mainly includes the following contents:(1) The bridge bearing capacity evaluation methods are described in detail.(2) The bridge’s appearance inspection and nondestructive testing results have been summaried in this paper, is given the status of available technology evaluation value based on the test results of bridge.(3) According to the static load test described in detail and the load test results on the bearing capacity of the bridge, the research has made evaluation.(4) According to the detection of the technical conditions of the bridge structure, and gives the detailed process of the check computation, and evaluas the carrying capacity.(5) The whole content was summarized, and direction is to be given for the later research.This paper not only has a certain theoretical significance and practical value available to other old bridge detection works draw.
