PC type single screw compressor was represented the latest technology in field of theword for the third generation type compressor volume. The star wheel could axial movedand eliminated meshing vice clearance which was considered to be the best energy savingeffect and the longest life expectancy and also the most steady of the single screwcompressor. At present only two firms could produced PC type single screw compressor inJapan and the United States, so the technology was regarded as "the21st century strategicproduct", and strictly blockade for the other countries, as technology monopoly, the type lineof design and manufacturing technology of PC type single screw compressor have nothingpublic literature material. Putting forward a kind of PC type single screw compressormeshing vice type line, suitable for our country’s technology conditions, and studying themanufacturing technology, breaking foreign technology blockade is the current mostpressing problem in the domestic compressor industry. Basis on the study of domestic andforeign scholars researched on CP type and CC type single screw compressor withcomprehensively reference, this paper discussed two aspects of the PC type single screwcompressed model line design and key components manufacturing technology based on thetheory and experiment.Based on the analysis of the PC-type single screw compressor, the dynamic meshingprocess of the star gear and the spatial motion relationships, this paper aims to establish amathematical formula for the cone and column enveloping generatrix, to derive theconditions for the meridian surface equation of screw channel and one-pack meshing, Bymaking use of the anti-pack method, the author deduced the second enveloping profileequation and engagement terms. In the light of size requirements and process parameters, theauthor devised the design parameters of screw and star gear, the utility of MATLABsoftware programming was to compute the coordinate of discrete points, to install the spatialconjugating surface by guiding in the UG software, to set up a3D model for star and screw.With the application of stereo lithography apparatus measures, the author initiated anexperimental study on the manufacture between the key parts and components of PC-type ofsingle screw compressor and star gear in rapid prototyping tools. What’s more, thecommissioning test was concerned with rapid prototyping of screw and star gear, whencompared to the theoretical design parameters, the profile meshing manufacturing waswithin minimum error, there is no interval existed in star-wheel teeth and screw link sidefaces. The star-wheel teeth can slide in channel normally and freely, it had been proventhat the curve design and UG-based modeling design are definitely accurate.By formulating the milling technique process plans in PC-type of single screwcompressor, according to the DMU80T five-axis linkage machine tools, the author settledthe axis motion platform problems down, and exploited the post-processing program of theDMU80T. The author operated the virtual machining simulation when simulating the actualprocessing in VERICUT software. It was evidently concluded that the cone and columnenveloping meshing in axis linkage manufacturing can be feasible. By the means of themachining investigation in PC-type of single screw compressor, the comparative analysesamong the experimental models of screw NC programming, the design model of the screwenveloping theory and the virtual machining model of VERICUT software were stronglyevident that the usage of VERICUT software in virtual processing screw machining wasexactly right, which creates additional possibility for a high efficiency in batch processproduction of screw.
