The safety is one of the main aspects that driver cared, and anti-lock braking system (ABS) is researched and developed for improving the active safety of vehicle. At present, the automotive ABS mostly use the logic threshold control strategy, this control strategy has many deficiencies. In order to improve the traditional ABS’s braking performance and the braking effect of vehicle, the brake-by-wire ABS based on slip ratio that applies the intelligent sliding mode control, has been carried out the design and simulation in this thesis. The main contents include:(1) In the introduction,the research background and the significance of this thesis are expounded; the ABS development process and research status are introduced; the research significance of the BBW anti-lock braking system is illustrated; the research content and research methods of the thesis are introduced.(2) The basic knowledge of the brake-by-wire system is introduced briefly.(3) The relationship between the slip ratio and the adhesion coefficient are introduced, and the optimal slip ratio estimation system of ABS is designed based on the symbol of△v△λ during the braking process.(4) The optimal slip ratio regulator is designed using the sliding mode control strategy. The designed control architecture includes a sliding mode controller and a fuzzy neural network feedback controller. The sliding mode controller is used as the controller of the inverse reference model of the controlled system, and ensuring global asymptotic stability in the compact space, the incremental learning algorithm is used to modify the parameters of the fuzzy neural network controller, this feedback controller based on fuzzy neural network gradually take over the traditional sliding mode controller in control system,we take effective measures to reducing the chattering phenomenon at the same time. (5)1/4vehicle system that applies the control strategy in this paper is simulated under the environment of matlab/simulink/carsim, The simulation results show the feasibility and effectiveness of the designed controller.(6) The innovations and further research direction of this thesis are summarized in the conclusion and prospect.
