As people’s demand in the car safety, comfort, environmental protection andintelligent continues to improve, the scale and complexity of automotive electronicssoftware increase rapidly. In order to standardize the development of automotiveelectronics system and improve program portability, AUTOSAR standard is introduced.AUTOSAR is the standard of next generation automotive electronics architecture,which supports distributed development and software reuse in automotive electronicssoftware development. System service is a key part for implementing the above goals.This thesis investigates the AUTOSAR system service specification, combines with theresearch status of automotive electronics, takes AUTOSAR watchdog service as theresearch object, designes and implements the support software of watchdog service onthe tool layer and basic software layer.The main work of this thesis can be summarized as follows:(1) The AUTOSAR standards and methodologies are investigated. The existingAUTOSAR software development tools, open source development platformand the software and hardware development environment of basic software areanalyzed and a theoretical foundation for an implementation based onAUTOSAR watchdog service is established.(2) The service mechanism of AUTOSAR theoretical framework is investigated.The relationship between watchdog service related module and how they workwith together are analyzed. The way of how to use the model of watchdogservice and how it is combined with the AUTOSAR development ofmethodology and software architecture are studied.(3) The way of supporting watchdog service on the development tool chain isinvestigated. The work should be completed on the system design and ECUconfiguration phase of AUTOSAR development methodology are analyzed.The related development tool for supporting watchdog service is designed andimplemented. (4) The basic software of watchdog service under AUTOSAR softwarearchitecture is investigated. The algorithm of watchdog supervision andmanagement is analyzed, service layer software WDGM, interface layersoftware WDGIF and the driver layer software WDG, GPT and MCU basicsoftware modules are designed and implemented.This thesis provides a complete set of solutions for realization of the watchdogservice under AUTOSAR architecture. The support software of watchdog serviceimproves the software development tool chain of automotive electronics, provides areference for other AUTOSAR services implementation.
